Free License

All photos on FreeStock are free to download and use. Here is exactly what you can and cannot do.

✅ You can

• Use the photos for free in personal projects.
• Use the photos for free in commercial projects (websites, apps, advertising, print, products).
• Modify, crop, recolour and build upon the images.
• Use the images without attribution — crediting the photographer is appreciated but not required.

🚫 You cannot

• Sell or redistribute the photos as-is, or as part of a stock photo / wallpaper service.
• Claim authorship of the original photograph.
• Use images in unlawful, hateful, or defamatory material.
• Use a photo that contains an identifiable person in a way that implies their endorsement of a product or idea, or in a sensitive context.

Model and property releases

Some photos may show recognisable people, logos, trademarks, or private property. Free licenses do not include a model or property release. If you plan to use such an image commercially, it is your responsibility to clear the necessary rights.
