About this photo

A single piece of cooked shrimp (ebi) nigiri sushi on a handcrafted ceramic plate. A butterflied pink-orange shrimp with a clean tail fan rests over sushi rice, secured with a thin nori band and accented with wasabi and shiso. Soft natural window light and a close three-quarter angle make it ideal for menus and commercial food photography.
