About this photo

A kitsune shrine maiden stands in the foreground of an evening shrine festival: straight jet-black hair with a blunt fringe and a small braid, black fox ears, amber eyes, a white haori and vermilion hakama with a silver bell charm. Behind her, lantern-lit stalls, banners, a torii gate and a soft crowd of festival-goers recede into cool blue evening light.
